Smart and well-planned studio with four meter ceiling height and sleeping loft. Studio of about 27 sqm total area with access to part of the balcony or patio facing the water or courtyard. "Caribbean" is the first block in Waterfront Cabins and is characterized by the turquoise facades.
In your studio you will find everything you need. Hanging space, fully equipped kitchen. Dining table and chairs. Wardrobes and storage. Sofa corner with TV screen for streaming. Fully tiled bathroom with shower corner and washing machine. Wifi and A/C. In the cozy loft you have a bed and wardrobe.

Already today, Kvillepiren has begun to be populated by the people of Gothenburg through the well-visited sauna and the area around it. The completed proposal will make the pier accessible to a larger number of people and the pier will be populated during almost all hours of the day.
With several hundred studios and Jubileumsparken with several options for swimming, the area will be attractive and lively. An natural place to hang out, with proximity to the city centre and to the water.

The block has taken many forms before it landed in the final design. The housing is inspired by the port and its industriality. The units flirt a little with port containers in their expression but there is a tactility in the wood material and a playfulness in the vibrant colour that softens the design.

A sustainable goal is to choose to live smaller and gather more people in the same place. The units are compact but efficient and the density allows for shared facilities such as bike stations, a mobile and automated grocery store, etc. Another sustainable feature is that only a few parking spaces are located in the area. People will be able to get there easily by public transport or bicycle. The units are built with a wooden frame and facade, a renewable material that we are happy to use.

A nice detail is the quite spacious lofts. Raising the bed with a slightly lower ceiling height frees up space underneath, making the whole plan more efficient. The high window section in the facade brings light to the loft and when lying in bed you get a view of the area. This means nice views of the water for many of the different studio types.
